Starting Production





Ahead with the documentary Surf Board: the art of shaping, Poseidon berths in Imbituba interviewing two influential surfers. Back on track after receiving his luggage Kelly Slater wins the Brazilian Bernardo Miranda to see his spot in the final quarter, talking about his 10 years experience in ASP World Tour, Kelly talked about the changes that affected his surfboards during the years that pledged his 9 world titles. Great contrast achieved by the director of the Documentary Phil Rash who decided to interview the youngest surfer in the competition, the Frenchman Jeremy Flores, 20 years. "It's amazing how Jeremy knows the importance of the shaper in a surfer’s life. Being so young he already understands that a shape can be magical and change the surfers life."

Today the competition was canceled, but tomorrow the head of production expects to record unique images with a 600mm telelens. "We had problems with the lens. Unfortunately we could not define precisely the distance between the waves and the beach. Fortunately, Universo Imagens and TAM Express did a great job and brought us another lens in record time.

The team also began filming the first of the 4 surfboards to be shaped during the production of the documentary. The shaper Roberto Paiva showed that the craft shape is really unique and has all the characteristics of a high performance surfboard.

This documentary will really show the surf culture, art and lots of fun.

Começa a Produção


Seguindo em frente com o documentário Surf Board: a arte de fazer pranchas, a Poseidon atraca em Imbituba e marca presença com duas entrevistas marcantes. Logo após receber sua bagagem extraviada Kelly Slater vence o brasileiro Bernardo Miranda e garante seu espaço nas oitavas de final; falando sobre seus mais de 10 anos de experiência no ASP World Tour Kelly contou as mudanças que afetaram suas pranchas nos anos que lhe garantiram 9 títulos mundiais. Com grande contraste o diretor do Documentário Pipo Grossi decide entrevistar também o mais jovem surfista na competição, o francês Jeremy Flores de 20 anos. “É incrível como Jeremy sabe a importância do shaper na vida de um surfista. Sendo tão jovem já compreende que um shape é mágico e importante na vida dos surfistas.”

Hoje a competição foi cancelada, mas amanhã a produtora que assina o documentário espera registrar imagens inéditas com uma lente tele de 600mm. “Tivemos problemas com a lente, pois infelizmente não pudemos definir com precisão a distância entre as ondas e a praia. Felizmente a Universo imagens e TAM Express fizeram um ótimo trabalho e conseguiram nos trazer outra lente em tempo recorde."

A equipe também começou a filmagem da primeira das 4 pranchas de surfe que serão produzidas durante as gravações do documentário. O shaper Roberto Paiva mostrou que o shape artesanal é realmente único e tem todas às características de uma prancha de alto desempenho.

Esse documentário vai realmente mostrar que o surfe é cultura, arte e muita diversão.
